Mario Troise’s MacBook Pro concept removes unnecessary chunk

Abdul Vahid V:

Prominent designer Mario Troise has emerged with a highly plausible concept design for Apple MacBook Pro. Mario has reduced overall volume of MacBook Pro by a whopping 43 percent with his concept. MacBook Pro is a flagship notebook from Apple, which was lately upgraded in October 2011.

While working with the new MacBook Pro concept, Mario mainly focused on the 20 percent components that perform 80 percent of work. And so, he took away the old fashioned Compact Disk drive, Ethernet and Firewire ports. Instead, a third USB port was slotted with the Pro.

Two major areas, Mario mainly concentrated on are the body thickness and screen frames. For his concept model, the designer got rid of the screen frames minimizing the area by 15 percent. Further, with a thinner body, almost 43 percent of the overall size of the notebook is reduced, he claims.

Mario has kept the design quite simple. He transformed the trackpad and ports and increased the fillet radius on the edges for more smoothness. The designer is certain that the new concept is 100 percent plausible with the current technology. Mario further plans a more futuristic concept for MacBook Pro later like his popular 2020 Macbook Pro design.

Mario says the current model of MacBook has sharp edges that will hurt a user, who is typing for long hours. Moreover, the notebook is too heavy and gets hot faster. The CD/DVD drive has been useless for almost five years. All unnecessary components are removed by the designer for the fresh concept design.
